Lauren W. I’ve been enjoying Theo’s magic touch with my challenging hair for over 3 years now. She is knowledgeable and listens to my hair goals; I feel like she is my partner in helping me achieve them! I have a mix of textures, which can be difficult, but Theo has the experience and talent to know what to do. And more importantly, what not to do. She is also so kind, gentle, and her easygoing nature is a lovely oasis of calm.
First I want to mention how unprofessional they were, they spoke about the next customer coming in and how she had cancer while working on me. That was so rude and thoughtfulness about the other client talking about her personal business in front of me. I saw her come in while I was there.I bought a groupon for a FULL highlights. I called to make an appt  and I said I had a groupon. She asked if I ever had my hair colored and I said not in 8 years. I went in on my appt and the stylist asked if I was doing whole or partial and I said I bought the full. Then she said well that will cost almost $200 more, My purchase advertised $175 original and I bought it for about $78. So I was astounded. This was bait and switch whereas I was mentally set to get my hair done, came to salon and than told this I said my daughter wasn’t charged extra and she said my daughter had shorter hair and changed hers to a partial. I said can’t I change mine to a partial and she said bc my hair was longer I had to pay $108 more! So total almost $200 for a partial even though the add says originally $175 for a full, not even a partial. So I bought a groupon to save money on their advertised price and end up spending MORE than their original price. She then proceeds to tell me that the groupon price is for people who get their hair highlighted regularly, I would think that should say touchups but it didn’t and she said that is about 1-2 inches of hair growth. I showed her the photo of how I wanted my hair and it was light on bottom not top. When she finished with me it was only light on crown about two inches and not on bottom how I wanted it. So in essence I got the same amount of highlights as a shorter hair person and BRASSY!!! When I emailed later to the owner she told it was correct price and if I paid without a groupon it would have cost me over $350 for a partial with a 24 year old hairstylist to give me brassy hair on crown only and didn’t even put a toner in or blow dry it. I get it some salons charge extra for a blow dry but if you are stating the original cost would be over $350 for a brassy highlight than only took on front strand and crown, with no toner, young new stylist and given a junky hairdryer to blowout my own hair they are crazy. They are a dinky salon trying to pull a fast one by bait and switch and jacking up price tremendously for a horrid hair job. Stay away!!!!! I will dispute with credit card and file with small claims for their practice.
I also put this review up on Groupon and they removed it, apparently you can do that if you pay to advertise your business, they then followed up with a great review using my name . If you notice their fake review using my name never wrote any other reviews like everyone one else. They are a scam.
