‘m usually an Anastasia brow bar strict regular, but after constant failure of getting a convenient appointment, I went to try BoomBoomBrow. It took out the inconvenience of Anastasia, with the same quality! No wait (no appointments, yay) and was super quick.
Nicole did my brows — I gave her a 2 sentence rundown of my unevenly grown out brows, and she totally knew where to go from there.
I’ll admit, I was super skeptical at first. I felt tweezed more than usual, but every brow place does things differently. BoomBoomBrow was great altogether.

I walk by all the time so thought I’d stop in to support a local business. Service was friendly but sadly the actual waxing was not very good for this price point. I had requested a clean up around my brows, maintaining the current shape. Left with the upper part of my brows completely gone, totally altering the shape. Additionally, one side is much thinner than the other. I tried to mention I was unhappy about them being uneven before leaving, but she was pretty dismissive. Brows will grow back and life will go on, but all in all pretty on-brand experience for 2020. Won’t be returning unfortunately.

I went here a few times and found the service to be fine but nothing special. However, on my most recent visit I used the bathroom for the first time. The below sign was hung on not one, but two different walls in the bathroom. I was appalled. I gently told the staff I found the language surprising and offensive. Their response was to laugh and blame their “boss’s crazy sense of humor.”
This is an establishment that primarily serves young women, a good portion of whom likely have faced/are facing an unwanted pregnancy, have mourned/are mourning a miscarriage, or tried/are trying unsuccessfully to get pregnant. Whatever the angle, I cannot see any way a sign with a joke about flushing babies down a toilet is funny. I don’t think the offensiveness of this sign has anything to do with politics or PC policing. It’s just grossly insensitive.

I have been going to Boom Boom Brow Bar for wax and tint over 5-6 years now and they are hands down the best! I live in Hoboken and travel to the city to see Caitlin, she is amazing. I 100% recommend this place, everyone is so sweet and accommodating. For being walk-ins only, they are also super quick.

This place is a disaster. I wish I went on yelp before even considering this place. My eyebrows look the same smh the only difference is that they’re burning. I got tint and there’s so much space and empty areas which should be covered when getting a tint. Across from me someone was also complaining about their brows. Stay away from this place. It’s a waste of money and they are clueless.
