I have patronized Sika about ten times for threading, tinting, and waxing am very happy with the quality of the work and the cleanliness and appearance of the facility. Both Simi and Kaya, the owners, are very sweet and talented. My only gripe relates to the loyalty system. Currently, you receive one point per visit, and receive free eyebrow threading after your 7th visit. It doesn’t matter if you spend $8 or $300–you get one point either way. Because points are awarded per visit rather than per dollar, I would recommend making separate visits for each service.
In addition, when you do receive your free eyebrow threading reward (a less than $10 value), be advised that any other services you pay for on that day (even if you spend hundreds of dollars) will garner you 0 points, simply because your paid services were performed on the same day as a free service of lesser value. I feel this policy is rather unfair.
If you would like your points to be consistent with your spending, then I would highly recommend coming in for your free threading and nothing else, returning later for other services so they count towards your next reward.

I’ve been coming to Sika for almost a year now. I must admit that she does an amazing job with eyebrows, but my issue with her is not with that. As a business owner, I believe that you should leave your problems at home or let it not affect you during business hours.
Ex. One time I traveled all the way to Greenpoint from Manhattan and the door is locked. I ring the door bell only to find Sika on the phone with someone sobbing. She quickly tells me to come back in half an hour. I was initially upset since it took me 30 min to come to see her, but then understood and even felt bad for whatever she was going through. I said no problem and left.
I continued to see her and even made the trek out to her new location. Today will unfortunately be the last time is see her. I came in around 2 in the afternoon & she had no other clients. She already seemed like she was in a bad mood, from the vibe she gave off. Being that it was in the middle of the day on a Monday, I was shocked at how fast she threaded my eyebrows. I look in the mirror and I was mortified. I am very familiar with Sika’s work and how great it is — but today was completely off. While my right eyebrow was perfectly shaped, by left one is completely ruined. It’s as if though she had one eye closed while she did my left eyebrow. I asked her why my left eyebrow seemed a little off and why there were still a few stray hairs (I didn’t want to be a B about it). Long story short, she tries to fix it but is already ruined.
Sika, if you’re having a bad day, don’t take it out on your customers

Had a few visits here so far. 1st- Waxing hurts like heck and I don’t think that will ever change for me.
This place is out of the way for me but based on yelp reviews I decided to give it a go (and returned again there).
The place is small and clean. You can usually book a same-day appointment. I am not sure when the busy season exactly is.
MY first appt here was for armpit waxing. Then I had it done for Bikini.
The women are professional, I love that I can get in and out without my time being hijacked and the prices are fabulous.
