I found this place thanks to their awesome reviews and I must say they were right! The staff was very kind to me, they attended to me quickly and I was so happy and amazed with the results. Mauricio is an excellent hairstylist! Highly recommend. 😀

This Salon is a MUST!! You will feel so comfortable and welcome and safe! They are following all the directions and guidelines to keep everyone safe. Leslie was my stylist. Very professional and accurate for what I wanted … couldn’t be happier with my experience there, definitely coming back soon for coloring ☺️ Thank you, guys.

Critical: Professionalism
I had an appt with Michelle at 230, showed up at 215, and waited outside as per the request on the door. One stylist came out, I told him I had a 230 appt with Michelle. He said, okay and asked me to wait outside. Then another lady comes to the door about 10 mins later and tells me my stylist called out sick and that they left me a voice-mail (I checked, there was no voice-mail.) She asked me to come back in 30 minutes and they’d get me in. I got there at 255 for my new appointment. Walked in, they took my temp and didn’t say a word to me for 25 minutes. Not an update, or an introduction to the new stylist. At 330 after not being acknowledged, I saw myself out. I would not recommend this salon.

I’m very fortunate to have had this salon recommended by a good friend a couple of years ago. I’ve had several different hairstyles with them and have such confidence in Mauricio & Amber that they cut my partner’s hair as well. His haircut was exactly what he wanted and turned out super dope. They take having a sanitary business very seriously and it’s always been very clean but they are going by every precaution possible with COVID-19 as well. Disinfecting station, question & signature form, the temperature is taken, wait in the car not in the lobby for social distancing, masks required and only a few clients at a time. Unfortunately, they stopped serving wine, water, and coffee to abide by the CDC guidelines but they will come back eventually and it’s so nice to have a glass of wine while getting pampered. Their products are current and keep up with the latest developments in the market. Really couldn’t recommend them any more than I do, they’ll take great care of you!

They explained every step of what they were doing and were all very knowledgeable. I am so excited to have my cut and color done soon!
Dorothy G. San Antonio, TX I’m very disappointed. First by what was done, then by the fix, and now how I’ve been treated. Mauricio told me Wednesday when I was in tears over what he did that it was an easy fix and he’d take care of it Friday. I drove, through traffic with a baby after calling and confirming, to be given an envelope saying basically good luck, here’s money and we won’t fix anything. I’m devastated! I picked up a baby and am spending 1.5hrs in a car for this!
I trusted this place for years and to be treated like that and to not be listened to about hair color and then left with this awful purple-brown streak at the front of my face!
I can’t recommend this place any longer. I’m really upset.
Alisøn A. 3/15/2019 If I could give a zero I would. First, they massively screwed my color up TWICE, turning my requested pale lavender into a blueberry. The cut was horrendous, as Carlos cut my bangs in the wrong direction, not realizing or asking to make sure. He was rushing and I had the feeling he wanted me outta the chair as quickly as possible. Also, his recent arrest for indecency with a child on 2/27/2019 turns my stomach. Photo included
Amanda O. 11/16/2017 I was just there yesterday and I saw a sign on their counter that said “yelp favorite” and I thought I’d weigh in.
First of all, I’ve been going to Mauricio since he had his stalls at Alon. He’s always, always given my problem hair the best cuts it’s ever had. I have fine hair but lots of it. Now where Mauricio really shines is his color. He’s an absolute artist… I highly recommend anyone go to him for color at least. Whether it highlights, balayage, all over color…. he’s a freakin genius.
I love their salon. He and Carlos did a great job of making it upscale yet still approachable. They have wine, water, coffee, etc.
and they are so sweet and polite.
I can honestly say I love coming here just as an experience. I have a high-needs toddler and I look forward to my appointments. Thanks, I’m unique for being awesome

I am disappointed in the very inconsiderate way that I have been treated at I’munique Hair Artistry. I asked Mauricio to color my hair a “warm chestnut” as is my usual request. It turned out black, but I was confident he would make it right. I scheduled a redo for the next week. When I arrived at the salon, I checked in on my phone as they requested due to the coronavirus. Sophie said she would call me when I could enter. An hour and fifteen minutes later I called again. Sophie then advised me that I did not have an appointment for that day. She offered to reschedule (?) my appointment two weeks later. During this conversation, she put me on hold three times. I asked to speak to Mauricio, but he would not come to the phone. Later I called the salon three more times requesting that Mauricio call me, suspecting that the receptionist was not informing him of my ire. He has yet to return my calls. He also increased his prices significantly without a word until checkout. If you are into frustration and humiliation this is the place to go.
